We offer a wide variety of programs relating to food, food security, cooking and nutrition.
Toys for the Frew
Each Christmas, Christmas Trees are erected throughout our community at local stores where you can support a local family by purchasing an age-appropriate gift for one or more children. Birthday Club Program
This program is sponsored by the Staff of Renfrew Victoria Hospital. Every child deserves a birthday party and this program will help to ensure that the children of our clients have a birthday party. Metro Shared Community Kitchen
This kitchen is located in Renfrew Collegiate Institute and was supported by a generous donation from Metro. This kitchen is available for any community group to use for their foods-based activities, one member of your group must have a current Food Safety Certificate completed. This kitchen is also home to our Food Recovery Program, where food is rescued from local grocery stores and turned into meals for clients at our food bank and RCI. If your community group is interested in booking this site after school hours and on weekends please visit RCDSB Community Use of Schools or email info@renfrewfoodbank.ca
Community Garden
This program is headed by our lead gardener Mike Noon and looks after gardens at the Renfrew Community Garden and other locations around Renfrew. A huge THANK YOU to the Town of Renfrew for their donation of beds at their community garden. If you are interested in volunteering for this program, please email volunteers@renfrewfoodbank.ca
